Support Group Run by a Professional Mentor

Join fellow parents on your journey to learn how to incorporate a more Purposeful Parenting approach into your daily interactions with your child. These group sessions are designed to facilitate meaningful discussions with other parents, focusing on the core skills from our Purposeful Parenting program. Through guided discussions, you will learn how to apply these important skills and have the opportunity to connect and collaborate with other parents through shared experiences and thoughtful conversations.

There will be 5 separate cohorts run throughout the year; the group meets one time per week for ten weeks. Each week you will receive a new video to watch along with focus questions. These focus questions will help guide our group discussions. The group meetings range in length from thirty minutes to one hour depending on the topic and level of engagement for the discussion. Purchasing this option will enroll you in the next available group. You can sign up here, or contact us for more information and specific details about when the next group starts.

Virtual Individual Sessions

The virtual individual sessions offer personalized support for parents seeking tailored strategies for their child. Over ten weeks, a trained mentor will work with you and your child to address specific challenges. This package is ideal for managing problem behaviors, as it adapts to your family’s unique needs. The first portion (70%) of the program focuses on teaching research-backed positive parenting techniques, including our five key parenting skills. In the remaining sessions, your mentor will help identify specific areas of focus and customize interventions. These can include building social skills, handling challenging mealtimes, streamlining morning routines, potty training, encouraging positive social behaviors, managing sibling conflicts, and creating smooth bedtime routines.

Sessions are held once a week for ten weeks.

In-Person Sessions

Our in-person sessions provide parents with professional, personalized guidance for their child, led by a trained mentor over a 20-week period. This program is ideal for addressing challenging behaviors, as it’s customized to meet your family’s unique needs.

During the first 70% of the program, you’ll learn positive parenting strategies backed by over 50 years of research, covering our five essential skills: being present, teaching effective replacement skills and providing rewards, minimizing attention for minor behaviors, delivering clear instructions, and giving breaks for more serious behaviors.

In the final 30% of the program, your mentor will work with you to identify your family’s specific needs and offer targeted interventions. These may include building social skills, managing challenging mealtimes, easing morning routines, potty training, encouraging positive social interactions, resolving sibling conflicts, and establishing smooth bedtime routines.

This group meets once a week for 20 weeks, with each two-hour session dedicated to empowering you with effective, evidence-based parenting strategies.

Some important caveats: If you have done everything we have recommended – the environment is super reinforcing during time in, your child understands the very few behaviors that will warrant a break, you have practiced the break procedure with them, AND your child is resisting going to the designated section OR you need to give more than 3-4 time outs per day – you need clinical consultation. There are different variations to this procedure and your mentor would be able to walk them through that or make a different clinical recommendation that is more customized to what your child needs. You should not be physically fighting your child to get him or her to get to the designated section.
